The Constitution Suite: Recently renovated and renamed to match the grandeur of Mayhurst Estate and reflect its history. Formerly called the Piedmont Suite, the Constitution Suite is now named in honor of President James Madison, architect of our Constitution and the Bill of Rights, whose family built Mayhurst in 1859. 

The Constitution Suite comprises two rooms divided by a full private bathroom with a shower, a tub, and a spacious vanity. The antique queen bed overlooks the gas fireplace and half-round window, providing beautiful views of the garden courtyard. The second bedroom in the Constitution suite has two twin beds, a writing desk, and an electric fireplace for those cool evenings. Because of its location on the top floor, The Constitution Suite is the quietest room in the house. The top floor also has a private living room sitting area with games, puzzles, and a grand view from the 6-foot sizeable round window that overlooks the hillside leading to the pond. 

The Constitution suite is also the closest room to the spectacular cupola on top of Mayhurst, which provides incredible views of the sunrise and sunset. The cupola is a great place to compose a letter or relax with a good book in the comfortable chair that sits there. The Constitution suite is a great room for a family with kids to enjoy!
