Bloom

Dear Sister,

Have you felt the quiet loneliness that grief brings… the sense that you are walking a path few around you truly understand?

Have you longed to sit with women who understand the tender weight of loss… where you don’t have to explain your tears or pretend you are further along than you are?

Do you love Christ deeply, yet find yourself whispering hard questions in the dark — wondering who you are now, what remains, and whether beauty can grow again in soil so heavy with loss?

Then sister, this retreat is exactly what your heart is yearning for.

For three refreshing summer days at Mayhurst Estate, you will step into a place where grief is met with Scripture, gospel-centered counsel, prayer, beauty, and stillness. You will wander gardens blooming with flowers, breathe deeply of fresh country air, journal what your heart has struggled to say, and learn to rest in the quiet assurance that God lovingly tends even the hidden places of our lives.

Here, you are not rushed. You are not expected to be healed. You are simply invited to come, to be seen, and to allow hope to gently bloom again.

We cannot wait to step into this dreamy getaway with you!

MEET YOUR RETREAT HOST

Casey Cashell

Casey Cashell is the owner of Mayhurst Estate — a historic Victorian manor in Virginia where faith, hospitality, and restoration beautifully intertwine through retreat experiences designed to refresh both heart and soul.

With a background in biblical counseling and years spent walking alongside women through seasons of grief, transition, and spiritual wrestling, Casey carries a deep compassion for those navigating life’s tender and often hidden struggles. She believes Scripture offers profound comfort and steady guidance for weary hearts seeking hope.

Alongside her husband, Jason, Casey has opened the doors of Mayhurst to thousands of guests from around the country and the world. Through intentional hospitality, she has cultivated a sacred and welcoming space where women can rest, be known, and encounter the gentle care of God in both community and quiet reflection.

More than a decade ago, the sudden loss of a close friend awakened in Casey a profound conviction — to live intentionally and to pour her time, gifts, and calling into what carries eternal weight. That moment reshaped her ministry and continues to guide her passion for helping women recognize that God is present and purposeful in every chapter of their story.

Casey gently reminds women that flourishing is not reserved for a future season — it is possible, even in places marked by sorrow and loss. She believes that every season God writes holds sacred meaning, and that deep joy is found not in what we are waiting for, but in Who faithfully walks beside us.

Her prayer is that during your time at Mayhurst, you will be reminded that your story is still being tenderly and beautifully written — and that you are seen, deeply loved, and being gently grown by the faithful hands of a kind Gardener.
