Southern Charm Room

Any guest seeking both comfort and beauty will be more than satisfied with Southern Charm’s unique set-up: a two-person jacuzzi tub nestled in front of the fireplace.

Grand arched Palladian windows overlooking Mayhurst’s best sunrise view over the rolling hills to the lily pond, a majestic king-sized bed adorned with the most comfortable Pottery Barn linens, and an original 1859 marble fireplace all contribute to the undeniable charm and comfort of Southern Charm.

Furthermore, Southern Charm boasts a rich history. It was the original Guest Room of the Willis family, who built the house in 1859. On August 6, 1862, just before the battle at Cedar Mountain, General “Stonewall” Jackson, along with several other noteworthy Civil War personalities, was a guest here.

Pets

We welcome pets in our pet-friendly spaces, which include The Garden Room and The Farmhouse Cottage. However, pets are not allowed in the Southern Charm Room.

Children and extra beds

All rooms are designed with a maximum occupancy of two guests per room with the exception of the Constitution Suite and the Lincoln Suite which can hold two adults and two children. A luxury cot can be added to each room for an additional cost of $25 per night (breakfast included). Cribs available on request.
